Sue Wilson
Sue Wilson Cordle is an award-winning radio programmer and air personality with experience in multiple formats. She spent 17 years as Program Director for Cleveland stations: WDOK WRMR and The Fish, as well as 12 years at Rubber City Radio Group as both a program director and morning personality for WQMX. A professional voice-over talent, Sue has been heard on radio stations around the country and on several local and national commercials through her voice company Sue Wilson Creative. She is the "station voice" you hear between the songs on WAKR. Sue is married to Tim Daugherty, the legendary Akron radio and television talent, whom she met when she started working at WQMX, and he was down the hall at WONE. Between them, they have 5 wonderful kids and 2 grandkids. After so many years on the air at different stations and different formats, Sue and Tim are now on the air together hosting Saturday Morning with Sue & Tim from 8 am until noon on 93.5/1590 WAKR. Long-time country radio listeners in Akron may remember Sue’s late husband, Phil Cordle, who worked at the legendary WSLR 1350/AM station for many years. Phil died in 2002 after a brave battle with cancer. Sue and Tim share a commonality in that they are both widowed. Donna Daugherty passed away in 2010, also of cancer.
